After nearly 9 months of "stimulus pricing" and culmination of 2008 version feature sets, we are ready to bring ApexSQL prices back to historical norms. June will be a great time to grab some extra licenses and catch up on renewals (which are predicated on list prices) before we start to change prices, as soon as July 1st. You can lock in these current low prices for an extra 30 days by requesting a quote, which offer 30 days of additional price protection! New Site Feature: Resend Activation Keys (major update)  We've introduced a new and powerful feature to our website that will allow customers to manage their keys much easier. The Resend Activation Key(s) module will allow customers to Get their activation keys if they have lost them but also ... Get keys to NEW products added free to their Value Bundle. This is a quick and easy way to get new product updates to your Value Bundles. Note: Value Bundle customers get new products added to the bundle for free as long as they are under Maint. Check Maintenance status - this is a quick and easy way to check the Maint expiration date and status (Current, Expired, Purchased with No Maint) for all your keys at once Order consolidation - this will show keys for all orders, not just one, providing all your keys in one list Key organization - the keys are automatically ordered by bundle, individual keys, order date making reviewing them very easy. Check Version eligibility - this is an easy way to see what version you are eligible for i.e. 2005 or 2008. Contact Management - this system allows you to add contacts to your contact, remove them etc. So you can enable team members to retrieve keys via company email addresses themselves or restrict to a single contact, seamlessly update contact info (in case an employee has left). Our customer service staff will manage this process directly. To manage your contacts email sales@apexsql.com and we can send you a list of current contacts, add, remove, update contacts. We hope you enjoy this powerful new feature! ========================= Note to ApexSQL Diff and ApexSQL Log customers pre Nov '08: This feature won't automatically get you new FREE Keys for ApexSQL Data Diff, for ApexSQL Diff customers who are under Maint are entitled to, because the product was split. Nor will it do the same for ApexSQL Recover / ApexSQL Log. Our service team is still reviewing, updating some accounts to do these splits manually. They will watch for any accounts that need Data Diff and/or Recover keys and follow-up with an update. Labels: ApexSQL Diff ...ApexSQL Major Upgrades - FAQ We've released a lot of Major Upgrades lately (which is a good thing) but there will be questions and issues related to this that I wanted to go over. How do I verify if I’m under Maintenance and eligible for FREE upgrades? • Contact sales@apexsql.com and include company information. • Visit our Upgrade center and verify the Maintenance status of any activation key What if I'm not under Maintenance? Can I still upgrade? If you aren’t under maintenance you can still purchase upgrades with a 30% existing customer discount. Contact sales@apexsql.com for a quote. What if I don't want to Upgrade? If you don’t want to upgrade, please turn off the auto-updater which will continue to prompt you to upgrade to new versions. You can always turn it back on at a later date. Here's a KB article on how to turn the auto-updater OFF. If you have already upgraded, revert to the version you are entitled to. How do I revert to old version? You can simply uninstall the new version and download and install the old version. Click here for a KB on how to downgrade to an older version. I purchased software when ApexSQL still offered "Free Upgrades" - am I grandfathered? Yes - your key should work on all new versions. If it doesn't pls contact sales@apexsql.com The auto-updater told me to update and now my key doesn't work! Older versions of the software don't contain our latest and greatest auto-updater (see below) which gives an explicit warning on whether a version is a MAJOR (not free) upgrade or not. In other situations people are seeing the warning during the prompt for auto-update but not realizing that MAJOR new versions aren't free. In such cases you would need to purchase the Upgrade or Downgrade. We apologize for the inconvenience although in the latter case I'm not sure how to make this more explicit - we'll have to think on this a bit if it keeps happening. I wrote an article further explaining this here.  I purchased the software 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year etc prior to the release - don't I get a free upgrade? We've worked hard to explain what purchasing Maintenance is important including posting articles on our purchase page, shop cart and even including reminders post sales. But some people still make the decision to not purchase Maintenance. In such cases we offer a 30% discount off the new version for being an existing customer. Please contact sales@apexsql.com if you are interested in upgrading. We hope people understand that software development is an expensive business and Maintenance contracts allow us to continue to improve our technology and deliver major value to our customers.
